Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do your mineral makeup products contain nano particles?
A: No, our mineral makeup products do not contain nano particles. We prioritise the safety and quality of our products, and as such, we do not use any ingredients with nano particles. All the raw ingredients we use in our formulation have undergone the EU Certification process as products without "nanoparticles".
Q: Where do you source your ingredients?
A: We source our ingredients from suppliers both in the UK and internationally. Our sourcing process is meticulous, as we prioritise certain important criteria for our ingredients. These criteria include high-level purity, not being tested on animals, and fulfilling REACH regulations. Additionally, we make every effort to ensure that the mica we use is not sourced from mines in India that employ child labour.
Q: Are your products EU certified?
A: Yes, our products have been EU certified. However, as a brand owner, you will have to register and notify your brand and products with the EU Portal. We offer this service to help you meet these requirements.
Q: Are your products Vegan?
A: Yes, all our products are vegan. We do not use animal by-products in our formulation.
Q: Are your products Halal Makeup?
A: Except for our "Natural Mascara" that contains alcohol, all our products can be classified as Halal Makeup. This is due to having our products assessed and certified by Halal Organisations for some of our clients. Therefore, you can certainly claim your products are Halal suitable on your marketing materials.
Q: Can I use the "Halal Logo" on my marketing materials?
A: If you wish to use the "Halal Logo" on your marketing materials you will need to have your brand certified as Halal with a Halal Organisation. Please let us know and we will put you in contact with the organisations that have worked with us.
Q: Do your mineral makeup powder provide sun protection (SPF)?
A: By nature, mineral makeup products that contain Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide act as natural sun barriers, providing some level of sun protection. These minerals have the ability to reflect and scatter the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, which can cause damage to the skin.
Based on their composition, mineral makeup powders typically have an estimated SPF rating of at least 15 to 20. This means that they offer moderate protection against the sun's UVB rays, which are primarily responsible for sunburn. However, it's important to note that this is not a "claim" but rather an inherent property of the product.
If you wish to specifically "claim" that your brand of mineral makeup powder has a higher SPF rating, such as 30 or 50, it is necessary to have your product SPF certified according to the desired rating. SPF certification involves rigorous testing and evaluation to determine the level of protection provided by the product.
Q: Is the pricing include packaging and label?
A: Yes, our products are "Ready to Retail" branded under your label.
Q: Can I get your catalogue and pricing?
No. We do not provide a catalogue or price list as this would be duplication. Our website follows the standard format of online shops with product details and pricing information.
Q: Do you give exclusive selling rights for your makeup products?
A: No. Our products are sold un-branded and many of our private labels clients re-sale our products, and therefore we cannot control to whom or to where.
Q: How often do you increase your pricing?
A: Our commitment to our customers includes working diligently to keep our prices stable. Over the years, we have successfully maintained our pricing without frequent increases. However, there may be instances where we need to adjust our prices due to factors beyond our control e.g. supplier pricing, national wage increase.
Q: Can I come and visit you?
A: We enjoy meeting our clients, albeit rarely, due to our streamlined work process that minimises the need to invest time and money for in-person visits. However, during and after covid, we were compelled to cease accepting customers on-site and cancel visitor insurance. If you must, you can come and meet our specialists for a cup of coffee off-site!
