Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General
Who are Puristic Makeup’s products for?
Puristic Makeup supplies unbranded natural cosmetic products exclusively on a business-to-business (B2B) basis. Our products are intended for individuals, start-ups, sole traders, and companies who wish to create, brand, and sell their own makeup products.
We do not sell products for personal, domestic, or consumer use.
I don’t have a registered business yet — can I still order?
Yes. Many of our clients are in the planning or pre-launch stage of building a beauty business. If you are purchasing with the intention of creating a brand, you are considered to be purchasing for business purposes, even if your business is not yet formally registered.
Products & Samples
What is the purpose of your sample packs?
Our samples are supplied to help clients:
- View and compare colours
- Assess texture and finish
- Make informed decisions before committing to larger wholesale orders
Are sample products refundable?
No. Sample products are supplied specifically to be opened and tested and are non-refundable once used for hygiene and safety reasons.
Samples are not consumer-ready products and cannot be returned or refunded due to personal preference, colour choice, or suitability.
Why do some colours appear lighter when tested?
Many of our lipstick formulations are buildable by design. When samples are applied from jars using fingers or a brush, some shades — particularly lighter or natural tones — may appear subtle on initial application and require layering to assess true colour payoff.
This is expected and does not indicate a defect.
Are your products finished retail cosmetics?
No. All products are supplied unbranded and wholesale, intended for clients to package, label, and sell under their own brand. Performance and application may differ from finished retail cosmetics depending on packaging and application method.
Orders, Returns & Shipping
Are your products made to order?
Yes. All products are made to order, including samples and wholesale orders.
Can I cancel or return my order?
No. Due to the made-to-order nature of our products:
- Orders cannot be cancelled once placed
- Opened or used products are non-returnable
- Sample products are non-refundable once tested
Refunds are not provided for dissatisfaction, preference, or suitability for personal use.
What happens if I receive an incorrect item?
In the rare event that an incorrect item is supplied, please contact us within 2 working days of delivery. Incorrect items must be returned unused and in original packaging within 14 days, using a tracked delivery service.
What happens if my parcel is lost or damaged in transit?
We arrange delivery on your behalf using third-party couriers. Risk passes to the customer once the order has been dispatched.
We recommend that clients ensure they have appropriate business or transit insurance in place. While we will assist with courier enquiries where possible, we cannot accept liability for parcels lost or damaged in transit once dispatched.
Compliance & Regulations
Do your products comply with UK & EU cosmetic regulations?
Our formulations are developed in line with UK and EU cosmetic safety requirements, and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs) are held for the base formulations we supply.
Will you provide CPSRs?
Full CPSRs are not supplied or transferred, as they contain proprietary formulation information and remain the intellectual property of Puristic Makeup.
Once products are branded and placed on the market under your name, you become the Responsible Person and are responsible for regulatory compliance, notifications (SCPN/CPNP), labelling, and claims.
Are your products vegan or halal?
All our products are vegan. Also, except our Mascara that contains alcohol, all our products are halal-friendly.
Clients are responsible for verifying claims and obtaining any third-party certifications required for their own brand.
Branding & Intellectual Property
Can I sell these products under my own brand?
Yes. All products are supplied unbranded, allowing you to create, package, label, and sell them under your own brand.
